Obituary

Anastacio G. "Tacho" Veliz Sr. went to be with the Lord June 17, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born May 18, 1943 in Victoria, Texas to the late Apolonio and Maria Veliz.

A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm Friday, June 21, 2019 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Michael Anthony Veliz; grandson Vincent Mark Veliz, Jr.; brothers Gilbert Veliz, Robert Veliz and Felipe Veliz and sister Angelica Chacon.

Tacho is survived by his children Anastacio "Tacho" (Carmen) Veliz Jr., John Paul Veliz, Vincent Mark (Nancy) Veliz, Sr., Felipe (Felicia) Veliz and Valeria V. (Javier, Sr.) Ramos; siblings Fernando (Lidia) Veliz, Sr., Mary Helen Garcia, Carlos (Connie) Veliz, Aurora (Rudy) Vela, Vidala V. Trevino and Gloria Garza; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A loving father, grandfather and brother, he loved hunting, the Dallas Cowboys and making his infamous hot sauce and BBQ

I will always remember you for the way you treated me when I was a young little mischievous girl. You always took me with you and Aunt Vecco. I was always with the two of you and I have the fondest of memories. I Remember your love of Mom’s chicken and dumplings and her smothered chicken and gravy. I love you Uncle Tacho. I will always remember you with love
