Obituary

David Earl Johnson, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26th from 11:00am-1:00pm at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with Reverend Walter Gant officiating.

David was born August 31, 1957 in Victoria, Texas to the late Joseph and Lillie Johnson. He loved fishing, cooking and watching his favorite TV show "Gunsmoke". He worked in the oil field as a swamper for many years. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Johnson; step-son, Darnell Brawley; and his late wife, Maudred Johnson.

He is survived by his siblings, Joseph Johnson, Sr. (Vance), Martha Dean, Rosie Johnson, Dennis Johnson (Carol) and Leonard Johnson; his daughter, Eutraneka Annette McNary and step-daughter, Lashonda Brawley; grandchildren, Brea McNary-Hill, Dakauri McNary, Wallace McNary IV and step-granddaughter, Amari Holloway; great-grandchild, Xander Gray Hill; special friend, Marie Robinson, who took care of him til the end; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
