On retirement they built and moved their home to the Millheim Community and enjoyed the area for 25 years. This community was home to them and they enjoyed family and friends in several activities. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage prior to Arno’s death in 2011. She left the area in 2016, moving to Temple, Texas for health and assistance support. In May of this year, Dorthy moved into an assisted living facility in Victoria, Texas where she enjoyed several activities and developed new friendships with the other residents and staff.

Dorthy treasured her family and friends, and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed children and loved to watch them grow, learn, and play.
