This is an example of Uncle Jack’s sense of humor, but his joke backfired on him. I literally came across this accidentally during the time of Uncle Jack’s memorial yesterday. He was definitely reaching out to me! I will see him again one day! (Just in case the photo does not show... Uncle Jack had Thanksgiving dinner with us. Earlier that day I told him I gained 20 lbs since February. I got up from the table to get a drink, and he took my plate of food, but really he took my friend’s plate of food (whom he had just met) He was blind, so he couldn’t tell the difference until she asked where her food went. He was so embarrassed, but we all had a belly laugh!)

Many, many years ago when I worked at STEC out at the airport, Jack would occasionally come out there to get with the Engineering group. I sat by myself in the front foyer since I was the receptionist and it was very quiet there. Jack would always come by to say hello and visit for a moment and I appreciated that he was so friendly. This is where I came to know Jack Edwards; never dreaming that his grandson would one day be my son-in-law! My sympathy to you all in your loss. Blessings.

Uncle Jack! We always enjoyed visits with him, he was willing to help out with chores. Uncle Jack never met a stranger. He showed love with teasing and jokes. He enjoyed sweets, especially minced meat pie! He was the last of the generation of manly men; those who could fix cars, work electrical, and do carpentry, yet still loved to watch Hallmark movies, as he longed to join his wife, Aunt Jo, in Heaven. Aim High, Uncle Jack! ❤️ Our condolences to the Edwards clan. ❤️ Love, Ernie and Jo
