Obituary

Jimmie Lee Sheffield, 75, went to be with the Lord April 21, 2019. He was born in Mt. Ida, Arkansas January 25, 1944 to the late Ross and Cara Sheffield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Matthew Garcia, Joshua Perez, Manuel Vasquez, Jacob Cantu, Aaron Zuniga and Zackary Sheffield. Honorary pallbearers are the Employees of Quail Tools.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, he loved fishing, old cars and trucks, hunting and guns.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Guadalupe Sheffield; children Sylvia (Lucio) Garcia, Sarah (Rudy) Ortiz, Sandra (Rick) Cantu, Caroline (Michael) Janecek, Lisa (James) Hale and Jimmy Sheffield; sisters Audean Volkert and Thelma White; brother Ernest (Mary) Sheffield; 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Celia Gutierrez; son Eugene Perez, Jr., and brothers Chester, Curtis, William Dennis and Ross Darrell Sheffield.
