Obituary

Julie Munro-Shaw, born 29 December 1958, died of Covid 19, August 27, 2020. Born in Seagraves, TX to Mary Newman Munro (deceased) and Dr. Jim L. Munro of Port Lavaca, Texas. After living in various countries and states she graduated from Liberal Arts High School in Pensacola, FL. Julie received her BA in Journalism from the University of South Alabama and a BA in Legal Administration from the University of West Florida. She worked as a legal assistant in Jacksonville, FL, both in private practice and for Legal Aid. She was also an adjunct instructor at Jacksonville, FL Community College in their legal administration program.

Julie married Jack Shaw and moved to Orlando where Jack practiced law. A heart attack claimed him and Julie remained in Orlando until she moved to Victoria in 2017. For the past thirty years she was a victim of the chronic disease, Lupus.

She is survived by her brother, Capt. Jim Munro, Jr., ret., of Nottingham, N.H.; her sister, Linda Jacobson of Denver CO; and her step-mother Linda Watson-Munro and her father Dr. Jim Munro of Port Lavaca, TX.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
