Obituary

Lillian C. Taylor, 94, of Victoria passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11:00am at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway.

She was born September 2, 1926 to the late William and Nettie Cure of Smiley, Texas. Lillian is survived by her daughters: Linda Ragsdale (Jim) of Victoria, Tammy Webb (Mitch) of Victoria, her sons: Charles Taylor III (Dianne) of Galveston, Texas, Tim Taylor (Debra) of Victoria, Texas. Lillian is survived by her sister, Janice Eckenrod (Robert) of Victoria, Texas. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, C.T. Taylor, son: Jimmy Taylor, a sister: Louise, brothers: Johnny, Ray, William, Alton, Richard, and Bobby, and parents.

Our family would like you to know that she was born and raised in Smiley, Texas and then moved to Cuero, Texas. There, she met the love of her life, Charles Thomas Taylor, who she called Tommy. He asked her to marry him on their second date. They married on March 1, 1946 in Victoria, Texas.

Lillian loved working in her yard, planting flowers, and she loved spending time with her family. She made the best enchiladas and pies!

She was such a strong, loving person and had so many people that loved her. She had “adopted daughters” and “granddaughters” that were not biologically hers, but they claimed to be.

The family would like to thank Elmcroft of Victoria and Harbor Hospice for the love and compassion they have shown our Mother. We will always be grateful for their kindness.

Thoughts and memories may be shared online at www.gracefuneralhome.net.

Aunt Lillian has always been such a true southern lady, sharing her love and compassion with everyone. There was nothing she could not get through in life without her smile and laugh. She had the most positive attitude of anyone I have met. This is such a huge loss in my life as well as others, I will cherish our memories and miss her forever.
