Lois was self-employed and a business owner for many years. Lois was truly an inspiration because she never let her physical disability limit her from accomplishing whatever she set her mind to. And everyone always wanted her to set her mind to making peach cobbler on all occasions…and she did!!! She also passed those baking skills to her niece, Tammie. Lois loved her family and encouraged them to continue the “4th” tradition that was started by her parents. She was always going to put ‘a piece of meat’ on the pit for the 4th. Lois was always up for a conversation about “The Restless” (The Young and the Restless), she knew that low-down Victor well. We are sure she is with her departed siblings discussing the next episode.
It did not matter whether you called her ‘Sis’, ‘Ain-Lois’, ‘My Side’, ‘Hello’ or just Lois, she always greeted you with a smile. Her presence will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Berthold Koenig, parents Jesse and Mable Jones; sisters: Ruth, Ruby, Ilecia and Gertrude and brothers: Jesse B., Henry, Larry, Eugene, Dave and Gordon.
