Obituary

Lois Marie Thomas, 81, a native Texan, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 19, 2020. Lois’ family and friends held her homegoing, Saturday, July 25th at My Father’s House Church, 600 Evers St in Cuero, began at 10:00AM, her Homegoing Celebration will begin at 11:00AM, with Bishop Paula Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Noble Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reggie Euresti, Maurice Calvin, Keith Wilson, Terrion Hall, Josh Lemon, Devon Lemon, Jimmy Lemon,III and Korry Lemon.

Lois was born December 1st, 1938 in West Sandy, Texas just outside of Huntsville. She was one of 14 children born to the late Chester Brooks and Gracie Louise Mack. Lois was a longtime and active member of the congregation at My Father’s House Church. She loved the Lord and sharing his grace and mercy was passion she carried with her daily. Lois was very involved with the jailhouse ministry and the nursing home ministry. She was a prayer intercessor and sawt God’s strength through her constant prayer for her family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Brooks and Gracie Louise Mack Jefferson; her husbands, Jimmy D. Kindel Lemon, Robert James Harris, and James Edward Thomas; her son, Jimmy D. Lemon, Jr.; her siblings, Gracie Lee Jefferson, Bertha Carrington, Harriett Richardson, Lacey Jack Jefferson, Bill Brown, Espanola Jefferson and Jonathan Holliday.

Lois leaves to cherish her legacy of a faith filled life, her children, Gracie Louise Calvin and husband, Isiach, David Lemon and wife, Quonisha, and Eden Faye Wilson; her brothers, King Ollie Jefferson and Dean Leslie Jefferson; her sisters, Berna Richards and husband, Ray, Mable Faye Carrington and Eliza Ann Washington; 27 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
