Obituary for Rachelle Bynum

Rachelle Maureen Bynum, 86, of Victoria on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 left this world running to the waiting arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.

Rachelle was born February 12, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to the late Rose Ellen Urban and Harold Collins.
She earned her doctorate as a homemaker. Her passion was taking care of and nurturing her family. Her medical specialty was patching up her kids, kissing their boo-boos, and running them back outside to play. She loved traveling to the mountains and enjoying God’s majesty in the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and making her home beautiful.

People never escaped her “come here finger” so she could give them a kiss on the cheek. She truly loved people and had a kind and open heart. She never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone.
Her hobby was sewing, making hundreds of blankets and countless articles of children’s clothing with her church’ s missions for children all over the world. She truly loved her church family and watching it grow.
Rachelle’s wishes were for everyone attending her life celebration to wear bright, springtime colors.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, R.T. and children Roy (Kay), Ronnie (Jo), Joan, and John (Tamara); grandchildren: Brian, Bethany, Jon Paul, Holly, Brooks, Koby, Haley, and 6 great grandchildren (1 on the way).
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Mason Butler, and sisters Shirley Manchester and Jackie Wylie.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a chapel service to follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, 8819 US Hwy 87 N., Victoria, with Rev. Mike Hurt, officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
