Robert Lee Yarbrough, lovingly known to friends and family as "Bob" and to his numerous coworkers as "Tiny", 63, went peacefully to rest Thursday, May 30th, with his loving wife Sharon at his side. Family and friends will gather for visitation, Monday, June 3rd, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy. in Victoria. A service celebrating Bob's life and his faith will be at 2:00PM Tuesday, June 4th at Grace Funeral Home with Pastor Bard Letsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna. Pallbearers will be Gary Damborsky, Jonathan Williams, Jason Hicks, Keith Kurtz, Josh Cutler and Bill Ringland.

Bob was born October 2, 1955 in Ganado, TX to the late Jack Stanton and Rosalie Frances Peters Yarbrough. Bob was raised in the Ganado and Edna area. He went through confirmation at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna and served as an altar boy. At the age of 24, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Kay Hicks, December 22, 1979 in Edna. They moved to the Victoria area and together started their family. Bob worked for numerous years with Sharon’s father in the rice fields in Jackson County, but later went to work for Inteplast Corporation in the Maintenance Department. Bob retired in 2011 after 18 ½ years as a Maintenance Mechanic. A huge John Wayne fan, Bob enjoyed watching all the old movies and any western he could find on TV. He was also an avid country western music fan, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn and George Strait were some of his favorites. Bob loved the outdoors and spent many an hour on the waters fishing or in the woods hunting. He always said he wanted to retire to the Texas Hill Country. One of his other favorite past times was coin collecting, and he was able to collect some true treasures over the years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Rosalie Yarbrough; an infant sister; brother, Francis Burney Yarbrough; father-in-law, Douglas Wayne Hicks, Sr. and brothers-in-law, Douglas Wayne Hicks, Jr. and James Mitchell Duke.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 39 years, Sharon Yarbrough; four children, Kyle Douglas Yarbrough, Kacie Leigh Williams and her husband Jonathan Williams, McKenna Kelsey Yarbrough and Anjulee Katherine Yarbrough; grandchildren, Landon Douglas Yarbrough "Papa's little stinker" with his second grandchild to be born in November; brothers, John William Yarbrough and his wife, Debbie, Tommy Lynn Yarbrough and his wife, Cindy and Roy Schmidt and his wife, Marg in Liverpool, England; mothers-in-law, Bey Carole Whitstine and Barbara Hicks; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
