Obituary

Santiago "Chago" Garza, Jr., 54, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Chago was born December 27th, 1965 to Teresa Garza and the late Santiago Garza, Sr. in Laredo, Texas. He worked at Alcoa as a millwright and later worked at Formosa. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He even dyed his beard blue sometimes and had the Cowboy star designed in it. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and going to rallies. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows and served as an usher. He had a heart for volunteer work and service. He was very generous and a hard worker. He was always willing to help and never expected to get anything in return. Chago was a loving son, husband, brother, step-father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.

Chago was preceded in death by his father, Santiago Garza, Sr.

Chago is survived by his mother, Teresa Garza; wife, Julie Fuentez; brothers, Enrique Garza, Jose Garza (Alma) and Rene Garza; sisters, Teresa Garza-White (Shane), Nancy Garza and Rosa Vella; 11 nieces and nephews; many god children; step-children, Kevin, Justin, Selina, Ysabel and Ruby; grandkids, Marlie, Rey, and Ariella; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

Our family were totally shocked when we heard about his death. We offer our condolences and prayers to all family. I occasionally read his Facebook postings and sometimes I’d post a reply. He seemed like a happy-go- luck and fun guy. We are very saddened by his untimely death.
